If you’re ready to take your speech, presentation or pitch to the next level, SpeakMeister Groups are a great place to practice with like-minded people. This blog will walk you through the benefits of participating in the SpeakMeister community, and help you get started!
What Are Groups?
SpeakMeister Groups are small, inclusive communities of people working together on the same types of speaking skills. Whether you’re working on a Best Man’s speech for an upcoming wedding or have a big job interview to practice for, you’ll find a SpeakMeister Group that fits your needs.
What Are The Benefits Of Joining A Group?
Researchers have found that one of the best ways to improve your speaking skills is to see yourself on a video and practice. Once you’ve created an account (click here for help!), you can join a group and get feedback from other members about your presentation. The vibe is very positive and welcoming, so you’ll get the help you need in a constructive and productive way. Not only will your speech skills improve, but you’ll make friends that you can stay connected to and continue to learn from.
How Do I Start My Own Group?
Don’t see the group that you’re looking for? You can create your own! Click the box in the top right corner to begin a new group.
Give your group a descriptive name and a designated category, and you’re ready to go! If you’re a member of a local group that meets together in person, you can even include a map to give people an easy way to find your meeting place.
Once your group is created, other SpeakMeister members can join and begin working together to build confidence, hone skills and get great practice opportunities and feedback.
